I thoroughly enjoyed this book! First book of Linsey’s new series, I was hooked by the first chapter。 Sia is a great MC, I loved her humor。 Lore is everything I love about dark, broody, and beautiful fae love interest。 I am hopeful there will be more romance in this next book, but I very much enjoyed the tension in the first! Loved the Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland vibes。 the deadly competitions that the girls had to go through to become queen were so fun to follow! Right from the start my attention was grabbed and I just couldn’t put the book down。 It sucked me right in and just kept going! Linsey Hall does not disappoint with this new series。A Forest of Stars has plenty of action and adventure, with hints of a future romance。 Sia is a great, albeit reluctant, heroine who can really kick butt… when she has to。 Overall I am very intrigued and can’t wait for the next book!

Sia had a mission in mind, but in the blink of an eye, against her will and kicking and screaming she found herself fighting for her life in…where? A prophecy, a King full of guilt and regret, and a mystery to be solved in this interesting and intriguing story。 I really liked this strong-willed heroine who keeps me intrigued by following in her footsteps and trying to guess what she was going to do。 I liked the exciting, sometimes funny and most of the time dangerous challenges with the touch of Sia had a mission in mind, but in the blink of an eye, against her will and kicking and screaming she found herself fighting for her life in…where? I read this in one sitting。 Filled with action, adventure, and a slow-burn of angsty desire, this book has it all。 I loved how feisty Sia was and I loved the cliffhanger at the end。 If you're a fan of paranormal fantasy with a side of romance, this read is for you。 I read this in one sitting。 Filled with action, adventure, and a slow-burn of angsty desire, this book has it all。 I loved how feisty Sia was and I loved the cliffhanger at the end。 If you're a fan of paranormal fantasy with a side of romance, this read is for you。 。。。more

I love reading about the fae! A Forest of Stars is the first book in a new fantasy romance trilogy。 This was a quick read, the action starts from the very beginning with Sia being kidnapped out of the blue from the human world by a sexy and powerful fae。 Turns out he is the King of the Court of Starlight and Darkness and she needs to compete on the trials to be his future Queen, or else his kingdom is doomed。The story is told in the point of views of both Sia and Lore, the fae king。 This was gre I love reading about the fae! I have been reading this author for a very long time, and I know I’ll have great escape reading anything she writes。 This book is a little different than she usually writes, but it is the same great escape。 Sia and Lore are interesting characters, and they are attracted to each other but still haven’t come to grips with that。 I am not a huge fan of fae/hunger games-type books, but of course this author can lead me just about anywhere。 With this set-up book, I’m now ready to learn more about this I have been reading this author for a very long time, and I know I’ll have great escape reading anything she writes。 This book is a little different than she usually writes, but it is the same great escape。 Sia and Lore are interesting characters, and they are attracted to each other but still haven’t come to grips with that。 I am not a huge fan of fae/hunger games-type books, but of course this author can lead me just about anywhere。 With this set-up book, I’m now ready to learn more about this world, these characters, and what’s going to happen next after the end of this one。 Highly recommend。 I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed。 。。。more

THIS BOOK y'all, from the overall premise to that cliffhanger ending--I am OBSESSED。I absolutely loved how the author wastes zero time whisking us into the Fae realm。 The action is immediate, as well as the chemistry between Sia and Lore, plus the high-stakes competition helps perpetuate the fast-paced atmosphere。 I also absolutely adored the steadfast friendship between Meria and Sia; the trials and adventures they take on together were so much fascinating fun。 Once I started this one, I sincer THIS BOOK y'all, from the overall premise to that cliffhanger ending--I am OBSESSED。I absolutely loved how the author wastes zero time whisking us into the Fae realm。 The action is immediate, as well as the chemistry between Sia and Lore, plus the high-stakes competition helps perpetuate the fast-paced atmosphere。 I also absolutely adored the steadfast friendship between Meria and Sia; the trials and adventures they take on together were so much fascinating fun。 Once I started this one, I sincerely couldn't tear myself away! This book is perfect for fans of The Folk of the Air series, and anyone who loves dark, twisted classic fairytales like Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland!Thank you so much to the author for sending me a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review! First in this new series set in a Fae kingdom and boy was I happy about that。 Sia is human but due to an obscure prophecy finds herself kidnapped and placed in a bizarre competition to become Queen ! Trouble is Lore the silver haired King doesn't really want a wife and he finds himself wanting what could destroy his control and yep you've guessed it that's Sia !This was pretty fast paced with a likeable, gutsy heroine who finds herself doing things she never dreamed of。 Sia quickly ( too quickly First in this new series set in a Fae kingdom and boy was I happy about that。 Sia is human but due to an obscure prophecy finds herself kidnapped and placed in a bizarre competition to become Queen ! Wonderful and magical fantasy with tidbits of romance。 Sia is torn from the human world to that of the fae。 Lore is king of the fae world。 Deadly contests are planned to see who will be queen。 This story has excellent characters and storyline。 There’s lots of magic, great challenges and new friendships。 I received a complimentary copy of the book and chose to write a review。 I look forward to the next book in the series。 There is a cliffhanger。 I have enjoyed every book Ms Hall has written。

This book has so many things I love finding in a fantasy…fae, royalty, a dangerous competition to become queen, magic, a brooding love interest…all good things 🙌 I did want a bit more substance to the romantic relationship, but as it is book one in a series I think we’ll get more in future books。 There was also a huge cliffhanger so I def can’t wait until book 2! Thanks to the author for sending me an eARC。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。

Fae books are definitely one of my favorite to read。 The plot based on competitors within the realm。 I loved the atmosphere of the world。 Of course there’s sexy fae, I mean when is this not a thing in fae books *smirk*。 The characters had a great build up, there was a peak at what the romance is gonna look like moving forward。 I enjoyed the dynamic between Sia, Lore, and Dain。。 hopefully in book 2 we learn more about the characters! Rating: 3。5 starsA FOREST OF STARS drew me in immediately from its premise。 I love fae books, and loved the idea of a competition to find a queen for the fae king。 This is the perfect book for a quick binge。 The pacing is quick, and the story serves an interesting plot。 I was completely drawn in by the court setting (we have a ball scene! *insert screaming*) and the mystery surrounding the curse upon the fae king, Lore。 I also really appreciated the exciting action linked to the challenges and t Rating: 3。5 starsA FOREST OF STARS drew me in immediately from its premise。 I love fae books, and loved the idea of a competition to find a queen for the fae king。 This is the perfect book for a quick binge。 The pacing is quick, and the story serves an interesting plot。 I was completely drawn in by the court setting (we have a ball scene! *insert screaming*) and the mystery surrounding the curse upon the fae king, Lore。 I also really appreciated the exciting action linked to the challenges and the way the author wove elements of fairytales and stories, such as Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland so seamlessly into her narration。 I never thought I’d obsess over the idea of a fae Cinderella, but here we are! While I’m fully invested in the world, the characters, haven’t completely won me over yet。 I familiarized with Sia on certain things, such as her love of rom-coms and books, but I feel like we don’t know much else about her life before the fae court, which didn’t sell me on her motivation to return to it。 I also would have liked to see her struggle more to adapt to her new circumstances, whereas Sia seems to have a natural talent for both the physicality and cunning of living with the fae。 I had the same struggle with Lore。 He has all the right qualities (broody, tormented, silver-haired) but I don’t feel like I know enough about him as a person。 While I did enjoy the scenes with Sia and Lore and love their banter, I’m going to need more from them individually before I can become fully invested in their romance。The book ends on an incredible cliffhanger, and I think the things I was struggling with in this first installment will be addressed in the sequel, so I’m very excited to see where the story is headed!Thank you to the author for gifting me an e-arc。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more
